Currency Redesign

With a fascination of currency designs around the world in other countries, I question why those countries designed their currency with certain elements. So, I imagined a redesign of the US Dollar to explore the history of the US and how we can use the Dollar to promote important histories of this country. This experiment builds a world where currency is designed to tell a story, while maintaining key information and security features. Two denominations are designed to tell different but related stories of US history. When talking about the history of the US, often times the role of the Native Americans and the origins of this land is forgotten. So, I redesigned the US Currency to tell the story of Key Native American Figures. Rooted in research and story telling, the redesigned denominations is an exploration to how layers of information can tell a story while also giving way for clean, legible, and safety information and features for a currency.
